Recent Accomplishments
- ORPSD has continued working on the Rule 19A Going Level Rate increase.
- ORPSD and Winfrey have continued the condemnation process on certain easements.
Schedule: July 2025
- Authorization to Bid needs to be obtained.
- A going level rate increase needs to be completed.
- The project budget and draft Rule 42 need to be updated.
- An updated service agreement between the District and the City of Princeton needs to be approved.
Issues
- Remaining funding for the project needs to be obtained and secured by ORPSD and Region I.
- The USDA has indicated that existing funds will not be required to meet BABA funding requirements, but additional funding requests will have to meet these requirements due to the expiration of an existing waiver.
Project Scope The purpose of this project is to assess the feasibility of expanding the ORPSD’s service area and providing public sewer to new customers in order to reduce groundwater contamination by removing septic systems. This project would also enable the decommissioning of the Johnston Chapel package plant by connecting it to the new collection system.
The Halls Ridge Road and Hilltop Drive portion of the project will include:
- Approximately 13,784 linear feet (LF) of eight-inch gravity sewer line.
- 1,326 LF of two-inch sewer force main.
- 1,337 LF of six-inch sewer connection lines.
- 2 duplex grinder stations.
- 111 gravity manholes.
- 363 LF of eight-inch highway crossing.
The work at the Shadow Wood Interceptor will consist of:
- Approximately 524 LF of eight-inch gravity sewer line.
- 275 LF of six-inch sewer connection lines.
- 3 gravity manholes.
