Official Notice: 2026 Mercer County Commission Meeting Schedule
The Mercer County Commission has officially released its meeting schedule for the 2026 calendar year. This schedule outlines the dates for all regular Agenda Meetings and Commission Meetings, providing residents and stakeholders with clear visibility into the year’s civic calendar. We encourage all citizens to review the schedule and participate in the public process.
Understanding the Regular Schedule
The Commission maintains a consistent schedule for most of the year to ensure predictable and accessible governance:
- Agenda Meetings: Typically held on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am. These meetings are used to review and set the final agenda for the upcoming Commission Meetings.
- Commission Meetings: Generally held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
- The second Tuesday meeting takes place at 10:00 am.
- The fourth Tuesday meeting takes place in the afternoon at 3:30 pm.
Exceptions Due to Election Day
Please note the following changes made to accommodate Election Day in 2026:
- May Commission Meeting: The regular second Tuesday meeting is moved to Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10:00 am. This change is made due to Election Day falling on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
- November Agenda Meeting: The regular first Tuesday Agenda Meeting is moved to Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 10:00 am, as Election Day is observed on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
