The Mercer County Commission is accepting applications and/or resumes for a Litter Control Officer position.
  • The officer will patrol the Mercer County area and enforce State/County Litter and Open Dumping Laws.
  • The officer will respond to litter complaints and investigate illegal dumping.
  • The Litter Control Officer shall complete the WV DEP Environmental Enforcement Litter Control Officer course upon employment by the Mercer County Commission.
Resumes will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the Office of the Mercer County Commission located on the second floor of the Mercer County Courthouse, 1501 West Main Street, Princeton, West Virginia.
