The Mercer County Commission will meet in a Special Session on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the County Commission Courtroom on the Second Floor of the Mercer County Courthouse. The purpose of the meeting is for consideration of the following:

  1. Princeton Salvation Army – Funding Request

  2. Discussion Regarding Vape Stores in Mercer County
    • Greg Puckett, Commissioner
  3. Discussion Regarding Sheriff’s Office

Funding Request – Princeton Salvation Army

  • Approved $7,500 for Homeless Warming Station/Hotel, to be taken from Video/Lottery funds. Salvation Army to submit invoices, and any leftover funding will be returned.

Discussion

  • Vape Stores in Mercer County – Proposed vape ordinance to be discussed in January 2024.
  • Sheriff’s Department – Discussion tabled.

At an Emergency Session of the County Commission, held for the County of Mercer, at the Courthouse thereof, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Present:

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss developments for NRCS rehabilitation projects, including easements on properties near Dam Site 14, with elevation studies authorized.
