REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
January 29, 2026
Lashmeet PSD held their regular meeting on January 29, 2026.
In attendance were:
- Mickey Hurst, Chairman
- Kathy Martin, Treasurer
- Shirlene Westrope, Secretary
- Stacy Fowler, Thompson & Litton by phone
Mickey opened meeting with prayer.
Financial & Business Actions
- Received request for Hiawatha Springton Extension Payment #7 in the amount of $33,462.90. Board voted and approved payment.
- Kathy received copy of EIN number from IRS. We will now proceed to open a CD at Burke and Hurbert for $59,000.09.
- We received $50,000 from County Commission and deposited into our regular account ear marked for Cornbridge Ridge PER.
- We voted and approved contract for Stacy/T&L to proceed.
- We received reimbursement from WVAW $6,322.32.
- Payments made: Rent $150, Lively $300.
Project Reports (Stacy)
- Mary Branch: Temporarily on hold.
- Stovall Ridge-Nubbins Ridge-Camp Creek: Field research continues in the Nubbins area. Additional residents have been contacted and sampling will begin in February.
- Brickyard Road: No change. Still looking for funds.
- Hiawatha-Springton: Continue preparing permit applications. Received minor comments on the DOH permit.
- Ownership/Easements: Waiting on Bill Winfrey for ownership research and easement preparation. Mickey will continue to try to get in contact with him.
Next County Commission meeting: March 4. Next board meeting: February 26, 2026.
