REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
May 28, 2026
Lashmeet PSD held their regular meeting on May 28, 2026.
In attendance were: Mickey Hurst, Chairman, Kathy Martin, Treasurer, Shirlene Westrope, Secretary and Stacy Fowler, Thompson & Fowler and Ash Harris, Region 1 by phone
Kathy opened with prayer.
Stacy gave updates on current projects.
Mary Branch is temporarily on hold while market volatility is assessed.
Stovall Ridge – Nubbins Ridge – Camp Creek AML Office indicated they have received the data and are compiling the report to submit to the OSM Office in DC.
Brickyard Road continued the application process for design phase funds for the project.
Hiawatha-Springton Continued with the Final Design Phase. Continued preparing permit applications. Stacy will get the various permits and construction documents to Mickey for signatures. Requested permit application fees to be processed by the District and Region 1PDC for the project. Received comments on the WV DOH Permit application. Comments were addressed and verbal approval has been given. The District will need to obtain a Highway Bond for $100,000 for the permit to be released. Region 1 will help with this. Easements have been provided to the Project Attorney for ownership research and easement preparation. Stacy spoke with Bill this afternoon and he promised them by June 19. Stacy will find Bond Insurance company from previous project.

Voted and approved Amendment #1 for Hiawatha-Springton in the amount of $65,000; $25,000 Report for Army Corp of Engineers, $40,000 for HTRW Report.
Kathy placed a check order for 250 checks, a binder and For Deposit Stamp $340.96
Deposit $25 into savings account at MCNB to keep it active.
Pay rent $150
Received $90,622.00 to be deposited tomorrow, May 28.
Voted and approved Hiawatha-Springton AML DD#9 $18,966.
Hannah is no longer with Region 1.
